Make Marriage Memorable

St David’s is a beautiful and popular location for a wedding. Getting married is a special day, and we welcome the opportunity to be part of it. Our beautiful church is a lovely setting for a Christian ceremony, and the grounds and hall are also available.

Our church is a beautiful two-aisled sandstone church set among attractive grounds. There is seating for 150 – 180 guests, with parking available in the surrounding streets.

The Service

Couples are married in St David’s under the rites of the Uniting Church in Australia . The ceremony involves promises made in the name of God along with Bible readings, prayers and a short message on the theme of Christian marriage.

Baptisms

Babies and young children are welcome at St David’s. We encourage people of faith to bring their children for Baptism or Thanksgiving, as children who belong to God are important in the church.Baptism is the sign of belonging in the Christian faith and of membership in the church. It involves a declaration of faith in Jesus Christ and a willingness to follow Christ and be a member of the church.

We welcome adults and children (where parents speak words of faith on behalf of the child) who want to be baptised. Baptisms occur as part of the regular Sunday church service.

For more information about baptism of babies and children, including the preparation program leading up to the baptism, please contact the minister.
